Do you know the difference between BPH and Prostate Cancer?

Interview with Professor Ralph Peeker, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sweden

A common misunderstanding is that enlarged prostate (BPH) is related to prostate cancer. It's not, but both starts in the prostate and both affects older men.

While prostate cancer can be symtom free for a long time, BPH is connected to a number of symtoms:

  • Difficulty to start emptying the bladder
  • Weak urine flow
  • Incomplete emptying
  • Urge to urinate more often, also during the night
  • Leakage

Below you can watch an interview with Professor Ralph Peeker about the similarities and differences between enlarged prostate and prostate cancer.
