chronic spinal cord injury - A retrospective cohort study

wellspect-science-alert-bladder

This publication presents the results from a retrospective study of the use of an immune-stimulating vaccine (Uro-Vaxom®) for prophylactic therapy of urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Uro-Vaxom® consists of 18 different strains of incapacitated E. coli
and is an oral daily therapy.

The study included 136 persons with spinal cord injury, who were registered in medical records and treated with the vaccine between 2008 and 2016.

Patient characteristics, the annual number of patient-reported UTIs, and urine culture results were reported.
